Suriya to do another Bollywood movie20

suriyaIt seems Bollywood is coming closer to Suriya even as he is distancing himself from the country’s numero uno film industry.

Only recently, the actor, who is making his Hindu debut with Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Raktha Charithra’, clarified that south Indian cinema is close to his heart and his focus would always be on south and not Bollywood.

“I am not looking at making a full-fledged career in Bollywood. And I am not shifting my base to Mumbai. I have never pushed myself for Hindi cinema. If I get to do different roles that excite me then I will surely love to do Hindi movies. But I will not stop doing films down south,” he said.

Meanwhile, the latest news in the trade is that ‘7 am Arivu’, the actor’s forthcoming film directed by A R Murugadoss, will be made in Hindi as well. Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin wants to release the movie in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously, sources say.

Interestingly, making trilinguals is becoming a trend in Kollywood of late, at least for ‘big films’. Two other similar projects which are currently in the pipeline are Suriya’s own ‘Raktha Charithra’ and Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Endhiran’.

Ram Gopal Varma thinks Suriya’s career in Hindi !!!

www.charmingindians.blogspot.com news, kollywood, movies,
Surya-Sivakumar-Latest-wallpapers-Photo-Gallery-Stills-Pics-Images-02For years, Ram Gopal Varma has been working on Raktha Charitra, a story about the life of Paritala Ravi, prime suspect in many murders. At last, the story will be narrated on celluloid. Rakta Charitra will have actor Vivek Oberoi as rebel-turned politician Paritala Ravi, one of the most-feared individuals in the blood-ridden faction politics of South India. Suriya will play the role of Maddalcheruvu Suri, Paritala Ravi’s opponent. The film is a trilingual made simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
“I think he (Suriya) is going to be very big in Hindi. Already, there is a lot of talk about him after seeing the rushes of Rakta Charitra. And two-three producers are thinking about signing him up for their next films. People in North India might not have seen it, but quite a lot of people in the film industry have seen his performance in Ghajini and they are impressed and feel he did better (than Aamir Khan). So, Bollywood knows who Suriya is and what his capacity is. It is only the public in North India which isn’t aware of him because he has not done any Hindi film till now,” RGV said to a leading English daily.

Priyamani in the Raavan movie offer 021

www.charmingindians.blogspot.com news, kollywood, movies,
priyamani4Priyamani recalls that she was excited when Mani Ratnam called her to his office to narrate the storyline of Raavan and her role in it. When the director offered the role to her, all that he wanted to know was how good her Hindi was. When Priyamani replied it was quite good, the director called one of his assistants to converse with her in Hindi to test her linguistic skills. Satisfied with the accent, Mani offered the role, she gushes.
Interestingly, Priyamani also bagged another Bollywood offer soon after this. It is the Ram Gopal Varma’s Raktha Charithra.

Suriya-Shruti Haasan is the successful combination02010

Sruthi-Hassan-latest-stills-7There were widespread speculations in Kollywood when director AR Murugadoss approached Shruti Haasan for the lead role in his yet-to-be name film that will have Suriya as the hero. With the lady busy with a Bollywood flick, there was no immediate response from her side.
However, things seemed to have moved in favor of Murugadoss when Shruti agreed to sign the dotted lines. Shruti’s assent to star in this film will mark her entry into Kollywood.
It may be noted that this film is being produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies and will start rolling from May end.
