In the recent times, producers of Malayalam films are finding it difficult to place their releases herein Tamil Nadu. With not less than 3 Tamil films hitting screens every Friday, it’s been a delayed release for almost all the Malayalam movies. At times, some of blockbusters are unreleased thereby letting Malayalam film buffs deeply disappointed. In all likelihood, Siddique’s ‘Bodyguard’ isn’t an elision as the film has hit screens in Chennai after 2 months of its theatrical release in Kerala. But unlike other Malayalam movies, ‘Bodyguard’ has received warm welcome amongst Chennaites for a valid reason. Doubtlessly, this is all for the sake of Siddique remaking this film in Tamil with Vijay and Asin in lead roles. The diehard fans of Vijay are making a point to watch this film as it wouldn’t sustain in theatres more than a week here.‘Bodyguard’ is directed by Siddique, whose ‘Friends’ starring Vijay and Suriya in lead roles is ennobled as an evergreen entertainer and features Dhilip and Nayanthara in lead roles.
