If you are planning to have a blast this weekend, you can reserve ‘Paiyaa’ tickets from this morning, for plans for the Lingusamy’s film will be open at cinema halls all over Tamil Nadu from today.A whopping number of 18 theatres will release the Karthi-Tamannah starrer this Friday in Chennai alone. Remember we are talking about cinema halls in mainland and not about those in the suburbs.
Interestingly, Mayajal will screen 40 shows a day, a first-of-its kind patronage for a film starring an up and coming actor like Karthi in the lead. All other theatres will have extra shows in the releasing weekend, and at least four shows a day after that.
“This shows the expectations the movie has created. It’s all because of two persons- Lingusamy the director and Dhayanidhi Alagiri, who had acquired the release rights of the movie,” says a source in the distribution business.
